Magazine Logo

The magazine branding was part of the magazine styling project. As I decided to create my own magazine it meant I had to establish a brand and overall theme for the magazine.

Reimagined south west is an interior design and lifestyle magazine aimed at 25-40 years old living in the south west region. Currently there is not an everyday lifestyle and interior magazine in the south west aimed at this target audience which is why I have decided to create it. The magazines aim is to inspire people to uplift their homes without it costing the earth. I want to also inform the reader on the wonderful qualities of the south west. The magazine is released quarterly and costs around £4.50 which makes it a similar price to living etc and house beautiful.

The overall branding for the magazine consists of a handwritten font which matches the laid back approach of the south west. I have then paired this with a sans serif font to contrast nicely. I have then chosen a muted palette for the layout of the magazine in order to create a simple backdrop for the content. The blues add a calm feel whilst the beige shades add a warmth. The magazines paired back style has been chosen in order to appeal to the audiences love for simplicity and honesty in design.
