Residential Project

Brief: We were asked to develop and write our own briefs for this third year project. However in order to fulfil the deliverables for the project we were asked to produce a scheme of work including a construction pack with FF&E schedule, final visualisations, Presentation boards and a material board.

For this project I decided to create a magazine for the South West to showcase local businesses and design in the Region. In order to meet the deliverables in the brief, I included a redesign within the magazine. For this redesign I transformed a living space in an Exeter flat into an open plan layout. This included a living and dining area, kitchen and home office space. The brief written by my clients was to make the space feel cosy and relaxing. I did this by having a Nordic theme to the space and warming it up using warm natural materials such as leather, oak and brass. I also included an ombre wallpaper to create a relaxing backdrop to the living space. Then I designed a bespoke shelving unit with a built in desk space to make it adaptable to working from home.
